Thanks for the kind words, QuiQue. This one was made just because I found that really interesting piece of wood and wanted to do something with it. It's in the Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts here on St. Croix right now, and is probably sold...or committed at least. The museum director took a real shine to it.

I picked up another really interesting slab of Saman (about 4' diameter) the other day and as soon as it has cured a bit more so I can surface it, it will be made into a table to accompany the bench. Or, it can stand on its own merits and sell separately. At least, I hope it sells. (grin)

I find that I really enjoy working with the bigger stock and exploring the plastic nature of hot steel. Besides, playing with the power hammer is FUN!
