Bench

This is a bench I recently completed. All forged from mild steel, heavily upset and drawn with all traditional joinery. No glue gun on this, kids. Due to the nature of the piece of Saman wood, the bench had to be assembled around and through the finished plank of wood. That was an interesting challenge, solved by putting the whole works on a "rotisserie" so I could rotate it around to get all the tenons set. I managed to do it without lighting the whole thing on fire, at least. The piece is about 6'8" long by about 42" at the highest point. Seat height is the customary 17" or so.
