I live in the Hiawatha National Forest in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.I would build bat houses too but we have plenty of trees for that. The bats can actually be a problem by living in walls.If you can slip a nickel in a hole a bat will find it and enter, their feces is carcinogenic. Old iron mines here are becoming bat refuges where hundreds of thousands of the critters live. They put steel gates at the entrances to protect them from humans.Fascinating creatures.
