I am having trouble welding a water tight seal on 16 gage mild steel. Using a Lincoln 125 plus welder. I am using .035 flux core wire, i do not have gas for i weld outside. I am making tanks that have to be water tight welding all seams. Any suguestions?

Or do i have to go with gas and .024 wire and hope the wind does not carry away the gas while welding.
