Newbie needs advice on buying Mig welder!

I am just completing a welding class at community college and need to think about a mig welder. I have a farm and a good part of the welding will be on equipment, however a nifty project will be thrown in now and then. It won`t be possible to bring all of the projects to the welder, so the welder will probably have to be portable. I can see that some of the welding will not be in the most clean conditions, and most of the material will be mild steel at 1\4" or less. I have good 20 amp 110v connections both in the barn and shop, with a very good 220v 30amp connection in shop. Wire Feeds i`ve looked at are:

Century 155, lincoln weld pak 155 220v, Miller 130xp, hobart 130, various units from Chicago Electric and Clarke.

Any views or info would be much appreciated. This is a big purchase and I want to get it right the first time around.
