Best bet for beginners:contact used machinery dealers in your area for brakes,roll formers,stakes,benchplates etc. Otherwise new tools will be EXPENSIVE!!! If youv'e got the dough...new machinery dealers. Ask for Roper/Whitney,Pexto,Tennsmith catalogs and get ready to spend some $$$ for some great tools.Also Allcraft Tools for great planishing / raising / forming hammers and stakes,(718)789-2800.If you're into it it,s well worth the expense.Free coppersmithing tip for the day...When in doubt,anneal anneal anneal.
