I have 50 students signed up for beginning jewelry (a new class offering at our school) and would like to solicit project ideas for the first semester. At this point we are limited in equipment (we'll be fundraising like mad) to a prestolite torch and a flex shaft and a sand casting kit plus all the regular hand tools. I'm getting an interschool transfer of an enameling kiln, but it may be Christmas before that gets across town.

The school budgets me $1.35 per semester per kid. I plan to get some bucks out of the kids at the beginning to buy metal, but we are obviously operating on a shoestring at this point.....
