I am doing an indoor sculpture/furnishing which will be bare steel, with a shiny ground surface (think David Smith) and I'm looking for an easy to apply finish that will not interfere with how the metal looks, but protect from air, household dust/grime, and fingerprints. Maintaining the visual quality of the bare metal is key. There was some old discussion topics about clear finishes for metal but I wasn't sure if they had to do with bare shiny steel. Thanks for any help/advice.
