I have another grinder to add, one I got at an auction yesterday.

It is a flexible shaft grinder with a twelve foot shaft that has

a one and a quarter inch OD. It is attached to a one HP motor

running at 3450 rpm, which sits on a three-wheel stand.

The whole thing was made by Baldor.

Interestingly, attached to it is a five inch cup stone so admired

by Chris. It would seem that it could be operated with one hand

while you had a three point purchase on a large work.

One thing that bothers me is that it has no guard whatsoever,

although one could easily be jerryrigged. Someone who had worked

it told me that the only precaution was to make sure you used a facemask.

I can't wait to adapt it to use a one-eight inch Dremel collet.

Rich
