Orjan, forge-welding stainless requires a little different approach. First, the layers of steel have to be absolutely clean and flat. Second, stack up the layers as with a carbon steel billet. Third, wrap the entire billet with stainless steel foil. You should use three successive envelopes. Oh, do not forget to place a small piece of paper inside the first layer inside the first wrap. This will eat up all of the free O2. Fourth, heat the billet as you would with a carbon steel billet and forge-weld. Try to weld the billet all in the first heat. Then you let it cool and pray for sucess. I hope this helped. Delbert
