If you realy want to kick some butt, instead of using the wedges or boltsdowns, weld on three L shape brackets, one in the back and one on each side, then cut Die plates that just slide in the three brackets, with very little slop. Have the open side face you,now you can weld or bolt, or both, your dies to these plates,

and slide them in or out very easily. THIS is the good part,,

To hold these plates and Dies in place while you are beating them to death, you drill a hole in one of the SIDE "L" brackets

and Insert the end of a 2" Dia. X 2" long, Yes a short stroke

AIR CYL. Hook is to its own switch, not the switches that are used to work the air hammer and talk about fast changing the dies between heats. your local Air Guy will be able to tell you what Cyl. and swithes you need.

AND for all you new air hammer people a neat tip, if you have a old post vice with a bad screw REPLACE THE SCREW WITH A FOOT SWITCH CONTROLED AIR CYL. Think about how nice it would be for wire brushing small parts...
