I think you can cheat a little on the weight since you are certified HIP-S. The balls are only 2 pounds or so ( guess from old memory not a calculation).

With iron I learned you don't have the shrinkage to worry about so you can really use up the 35 pounds into the product (plus a little cheating if need be). Just don't try too thin. My 1/8 inch ceramic shell mold section was too thin, the 3/16 th and greater worked perfectly. If Michele tried aluminum wire and it worked copper will for sure.
