Thanks for the suggestions all have been concidered already and I'm sure that some of them will be implemented. I know that I will be doing "gang" casting of at least four links at a time.

There are limits to what one person can handle in the way of a crucibles and four links with sprues, runners, gates, risers and such will take about 8 to 9 pounds of aluminum, and I have figured that I would be able to handle a #10 crucible safely by myself.

As far as the women thing goes, I'm going to try really hard not to let that get in the way of my real passions, to create really neat stuff. Some women just don't understand the need that some guys have to create stuff and play with tools. Nuff said on that matter.

I look forward to any input the members of this forum have for this crazy tank project, I'm already having a blast working on it and I haven't even started "making chips" or melting metal!!
