The key to reducing wax shrinkage is to keep the pouring temperature as low as possible. If melting temp is 158 F, try to pour at or below 165-170 F, for instance. This is true for any wax.

Do some tests with a thermometer, and determine the melting point.

Use pressure or centrigugal force, if necessasary, to fill the mold.

A wax's properties can be modified to get a different toughness, brittleness, melting point,etc, but from what i read, there is a wax already out there for almost any purpose for which one is likely to need wax. Ask jewelers suppliers for a catalog or mfg's specifications on waxes.
