My system was down and I was not able to answer the several people who sent suggestions relative to the casting problems I described. It would seem that the suggestions about ineffective burnout and/or venting are the most likely. The models were designed to prevent "shrink breakage" so that was not likely. I am also considering increasing the pressure head during by extending the pouring cup higher above the investment. At any rate, thank you for your suggestions. JV
