Thanks for all the suggestions. I talked to the instructor some

more. He said that he has had a lot of problems with students

not getting the sprues attached well enough. That is why he

got away from shell casting. He says that if the sprues are

not really welded in place that any debubblizer will creep into

any crevice and cause the sprue to come off. The only thing

that I could think of that would work for him is to pull a vacuum

on the investment before putting it on the wax. Could mix the

investment in a tub on a rubber mat. Set the vacuum chamber

over the tub. And pull a vacuum.
