Not sure where to get it new but know it is out there as I have some of it. You can find stainless streel woven mesh from very fine on up to very course (like 1/4 inch openings) and then line the wool with that. It is such a strong wire mesh that it could also be the support but even better just keep the molds from scrapping the sides to wipe it out. I found mine at a scrap yard and got it by the lb at a most reasonable rate since the weave was slighly irregular and would be considered a second as well as disposable item by the manufacturer. Even a crease or bend in it is a reject and this will mean nothing to your function.
