I built a burnout oven using Kaowool as the fireface and used it daily for over 5 years before I rebuilt/ replaced the blanket. I did not use the liquid rigidizer as I felt that it would weaken the blanket. The oven is built using S.S. pins to hold the blanket against soft fire brick outer wall. I build my shells with a large pouring cup so that when I suspent them after coating for drying more quickly and also on burn-out they can stand grouped togeter in the kiln so as not to fall over durning burn-out.
