I want to cast some parts in plaster using removable patterns,everything is working ok but i am getting a rough surface on the aluminum. the mold surface is real nice the metal temp is around 1250 to 1350 deg F but the surface is open or grainy but i wouldn't say gasy. what do you supose the problem is ?? I am using a reqular metal casting plaster.

I have no problems in sand with finish but i need the ability to work in plaster.

any ideas??
