About the Bramblebush

The Artisan's Workplace and Learning Center

The Bramblebush was created by Chris Ray and Enrique Vega in 1997 for the purpose of interacting with the metalsmithing community on the web. Chris and Enrique worked together to set up various forums and the initial layout of the Bramblebush. Once set up, Chris Ray, Bruce Fink, Valerie Weihman, and various other volunteers have developed this extensive resource of technical artistic metalworking information. Chris was the editor of the Bramblebush until his untimely death on July 1, 2000.

Past Editor and Co-Founder of the Bramblebush
Christopher T. Ray (5-7-37 to 7-1-00)

Chris is no longer with us and we will miss him greatly. If you get a chance, take a look at some of the work this artist and teacher did during his lifetime. You should also visit a page I made which is dedicated to his music. A slide show is included with music to give you an idea of some of his creative accomplishments.
