"Teen Metal Pet Tags"
Ages 13 - 17

Your pet can be just as stylish as you! During this workshop students will design and make a copper or brass pet tag for their animal friend. Techniques such as texturing, roller printing, sawing and finishing will be discussed. You can even stamp the name of your pet onto their tag! Students are encouraged to bring in pictures of their pet to get inspiration for their tags. Class limited to 8 students.

"Teen Projects in Metal & Enameling"

Silver soldering, cold connections and enameling are just a few of the skills students will develop in this fun and explorative class in jewelry/metals. Working alongside a professional artist, students will create one of a kind projects such as bookmarks, pendants, rings and small metal sculptures. Surface texture, metal forming and the use of colored enamels will inspire students to develop individual ideas for student projects. Class limited to 8 students.

"Teen Projects in Polymer Clay"
Ages 13 - 17

Polymer clay is a sculptable material that can be worked into various shapes and forms that are then cured or hardened through a heating source like an oven. In this 3 day class students will be able to work with the material to create projects such as pen covers, beads, a pair of earrings or animal sculptures. Students will go home with small kits that will allow them to continue creating with polymer clay. Class limited to 8 students.

"Teen Projects in Precious Metal Clay"
Ages 13 - 17

Wednesday, August 13 – Friday, August 15, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
3 classes / All Levels / Enameling Studio

PMC is microscopic particles of silver suspended in an organic binder which creates a material similar to clay. This fun and exiting material can be shaped and textured to create amazing pieces of fine silver jewelry. In this class we will explore basic techniques for making fine silver jewelry with PMC. Topics covered include: types of PMC, tools, basic shaping, texturizing, stone setting, firing, burnishing, finishing, and patina. No previous experience with PMC is required. Class limited to 8 students.
