Temporary Problem with Logging In

I just noticed that login information for members was not being retained. After spending a considerable amount of time looking into the issue, I learned that my service provider decided to upgrade the php4 to php5 and it broke the persistent login tracking feature we had. I have corrected the problem so that by default, the ArtMetal web site will use php4.

Please let us know if you run into any problems with signing in.

Thanks!

Thank You!!!! I've noticed

Thank You!!!! I've noticed the problem, but thought it might have been on my end. The website was down a couple of weeks ago...Jake and I were both running into the same problem of trying to access the site. There was a Drupal (water Droplet) kind of guy that kept coming up, and had a message of not being able to access the site we were looking for.

Not having your direct e-mail address, I was a bit out of luck and at the mercy of waiting for this "Drupal" guy to go way! LOL! I did think of contacting you through your other site...
Anyway, Thanks for the up-date!

Cheers,
Jamie Santellano

The problem a couple of weeks ago was different. The MySQL server went south and the techs had to restart it.

If you ever do see something that seems to be web site problems, please do report it.

Interesting. I log in every day, at least once, to do my moderating chores, and I never had a problem. Perhaps because I log in so often my login persisted in spiteof the software changeover. Glad to hear it's fixed and others won't be having issues. Good work, Enrique! Thanks for all you do for us.

Rich, I have to thank you more for logging in daily and keeping the site free of spam and trouble makers! Not only that, but your careful and thoughtful comments to all the technical metalworking questions makes you the man of the day!

Gracias amigo!

It seems as if the service

It seems as if the service provider has a responsibility to notify users that there is a change coming so you can keep up with it. Phooey to them.

Web site maintainance

QuiQui, Thank you for doing what you do to keep the web site functional. It has become somewhat of a ritual in checking out the post and sharring ideas and passions of such a diverse group of skilled artisens to talented hobbiest. I feel somehow conected to the people that frequently post and respond with info and ideas.
Thank you Rich for a wealth of knowledge and senceable advice.
