Well after fourteen years of putting up with an ugly black store bought fireplace screen it was time to make my own. I used some free brass or bronze door kick plates for the cladding. There is a frame work of steel underneath. Little puddling of some brazing rod for texture. I was not too sure about the veggie leaf or what ever design but came out looking okay. What style this is I have no idea, just me.  Hinges and handle I wanted simple and not bulky. Added a splash of liver of sulphur to tone down the yellow and some clear Nikolas 2105 lacquer to top it off with.brass screen: My fireplace screen
