this is the cake topper I made a few years ago for some friends wedding. I started with 2" copper tube, split. hammered flat on anval, cutt out both B patterns, used 2" copper tube to shape center connecting piece and tig welded. » read more | 2 comments process terminology

advice Hey guys, this site is the greatest. I've worked with metal for years but resently started focusing on the artistic side. Can anyone suggest a book or other source of info concerning the terminology you guys use in describing different techniques you use.(patina, chasing, raseing, etc.) Any advice is greatly appreaciated. » read more | 5 comments Upatart newbe

Thanks guys for the positive support/feed back. Past practice I have created various pieces of metal home furnishings, wall art, keltic jewelry, business logos, signs, etc. Until recently I've been employeed in the industrial maintenance and engineering field, having well tooled shops at my disposal. any advice for newbe?
