hyperlinks and background colors

Site Help - FAQ

Nice ease of set up for new groups, but a couple pointers needed. How can I make a hyperlink so that a word can be highlighted and when clicked can give additional info? This way each posting does not have to have so much text when posting info pieces. Thanks!
Also, how to change background so it is color rather than white?

Adding links to your content

Adding links to your content is real easy if you use the "enable rich-text" button. Then highlight the word you want to provide a hyperlink, and click on the little chain link icon. A new smaller window will appear, and you can enter the url. You can also select whether you want to have the url display on the same page or separate page. Finally you can enter text in the lower field to include when someone mouses over the hyperlink.

As to backgrounds, well that can only be controlled by the theme you choose in the group you are creating. The turqoise background you see can only be done by an administrator. I do it to make it a sticky (sticks to top of community page).

Make sense?

hyperlinks

Yep. And do I need a URL if I "enter text in the lower field to include when someone mouses over the hyperlink."?

If I need to include a URL for this, then I need to know how to make (find) that. If only entering text...great, then I am on my way.
