Scholarship to Blacksmithing Class

I just wanted to let everyone know that I got a scholarship to go to a week of black smithing classes through Augusta Heritage Foundation in Elkins, WV. I am hoping this will help get me the apprenticeship I am pining for through this organization too. I know a lot of you can appreciate the hard work it takes to become really good at working with any kind of metal...........so I just wanted to share my positive working towards being a really good blacksmith story.

congratulations

Learn as much as you can, take lots of photos to go with your notes, and to share. When all is done you may want to do an article for different groups you are around (they always want new stuff with photos). Most important is have fun, meet great people and PASS IT ON.

BS Class

Hey,
Thanks a lot. I have checked out your work from time to time. I am hoping to post some of mine towards August. It is nice to see work by women sculptors. Have you ever heard of Suzanne Benton. She has been a big inspiration to me and was a real mover and shaker in the womans movement in America. She is still kickin too but does mostly printmaking now.
