Forged Stainless

I do a lot of forged stainless steel.
I got into it after doing a fair amount of fabricated stainless steel, as I do a lot of public art, where the piece needs to be totally bullet proof.
I dont trust paint, in a public place, as it always needs repainting. So that means either I do it for free, or it looks crummy.

Chairs with a bit of twisting

I thought I would start a new post about some of my recent twisted work.
This commission was for a little corner park in Ballard, a neighborhood in Seattle.
The developer was required by the city to add a little public space to his project, and it had to include art, so I was commissioned to do this piece.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry

I finally installed a piece this week that we have been working on for a year or so- I actually got the job in 2004- but fabrication was really just since September or so.

3 modern totems, the two outer ones are 15 feet tall and about 8 feet wide, the middle one is 18 feet tall.
