Hello Folks -

I thought I would record my making of a new group to be a possible help to others who might want to do the same thing.

I started out from the ArtMetal home page and work from there. I think it might be easiest if I just number the instructions as I go.

1. go to the 'Community' pull-down menu (which may flow to the side rather than down if you have things set up differently than I have) and pick 'Create Content'. This is what it looks like on my computer:

2. Choose 'Group'.

3. Fill in the following items:

a. Name of Group

b. Welcome Message

(use Rich Text if you wish)

c. Description

d. Website

(if your group has one)

(you can always go back and add one later if you wish.)

e. Then, choose how you want your subscription requests to be handled. (This is where you are deciding how public your group will be.)

f. Choose whether or not you want it listed in the 'List Of Groups'.

g. Choose a visual theme.

h. click on flickr image insert if you have a flickr account and want to use an image from there.

(just fill in your flickr user name and the tag of the picture you wish to use.)

4. Next you can preview the creation of your page, and when pleased, submit it to create the new group.
