Oh, I have no issue with those who disagree with me, but I don't much like having actions attributed to me that I am not guilty of. The account for "gwynlaredogranger" is active, as far as I know. I certainly haven't done anything to it. Nor would I, over a disagreement.

The account for the alleged poster of this diatribe "Rich Waaah" has been blocked due to the use of profanities (on another post) that were unnecessary. This personal attack, which is not really allowed, I can overlook since I'm the supposed "victim" but not the other posts' gratuitous profanities. Further, there is no reason for this bogus username since the alleged author's real account is perfectly viable. Thus, I am of the opinion that this post probably originates with a third party for no other purpose than to stir up trouble.

I've sent a PM to gwynlaredogranger to ascertain if these are, indeed, his sentiments. If so, they'll stay. If not, they'll be deleted, I suppose.

This make sense to everyone?

first of all, you arent a good admin, for one i SIGNED my above post gwynlaredogranger, that alone dispels any possible doubt that i would somehow try to hide behind some fake account.in fact it was becasue you disabled my account so i couldnt reply to a direct attack on me, that i had to start that account, because you suspended my permission to post , for basically no reason at all with no dialouge or any communication. which basically tells me you are drunk with power and have a total double standard, which in turn tells me i am not interested in being a member of this forum if i cant speak my mind. im sure you can see that when daedelus refers to artists as'you people' and has disparaging comments directed at my profession , on top of essentially mocking my career choice on a forum ironically entitled ART metal,that i might take issue with that. if you want to paint me as the bad guy for not taking any unnecessary negative input then fine. both of your straw man arguments are ridiculous the fact remains that i asked for some input here and i got mocked by one guy and then the admin, whose rear daedelus sniffs,then suspends my account. do the math and quit lying on top of everything else and acting like it is some big mystery as to who posted the rich waaah account, it was me, i stand behind my work 100% you apparently do not.im outta here, i thought i could be of some use but apparently we "arteests are far too 'touchy' ,and steven fitz if you are reading this send me an email i ill hook you with some free glass, as for the rest of you .lol!

I also agree with Daedalus and Jake. Rich has always been a wonderful and vastly appreciated asset to this forum. In the couple of years I have been here, Rich has provided me (and many others) with expert guidance and encouragement, particularly to those of us that are beginners. I am sure that I speak for the vast majority of folks here when I say thanks to Rich for all he has done for us!

I've learned a great deal from everyone here directly or inderectly. My personal opinion on Rich is that he is very knowledgeable in many different things and some people like myself need that. I've said before that I'm greatful there are groups of people out there like the AM group. You're doing a great job Rich and I'm appreciative as I am with everyone else who can help me with the many things I don't know or am not sure of.

Wow! Good thing you aren't thin-skinned Rich! I hate to witness such childishly boorish behavior. The best forum I ever experienced was the old "Badger Pond"! The admin there was a social scientist (or some such) and ran the forum with a VERY tight grip. EVERY post was delayed until he had a chance to read it and no attack post survived that review process. The forum was intended as an experiment in creating a friendly social environment and IMO succeeded remarkably well. It is a strong argument for the need for strong moderator control. I am glad that you are here!

This is about the only forum type thing I subscribe to....but from the glimpses of other sites I come across while on the web, I'd say it's about the most "grown up", positive and supportive community around including, and probably in no small part due to the moderator.
Occasionally it does come across as a bit of a mutual backslapping "love fest" as my partner sometimes points out, but heck, there's enough people out there ready to undermine us without us doing it to each other, so what's wrong with a little oasis of lurrrrv here on am?
Think all this started with a bit of a sense of humour failure. But good has come out of it in that it's brought out a lot of the passion and community spirit we aspire to....it's generated a lot of positive posts.
It is quite annoying that Mr. Waugh knows so damn much, but he can't help it, and to have all that knowledge,and impart it freely, without condescension or unconstructive criticism of the work of other artists who may be still on the nursery slopes of the great learning curve, seems to me to be the mark of a generous soul with nothing to prove. On another forum I subscribe to, the conversations get pretty heated but there has never been any direct name calling or other such childish behavior.

I also was looking forward to seeing and reading more about this woman's foundry and work. Too bad she.

And as others have said, I too appreciate your work, Rich.

I've been reading this thread for awhile now.
I haven't posted as much as I'd like to. Typically because so few respond anymore.
But mostly because I tend to ruffle feathers. Which I have not meant to do!
That being said...........

My 2 Cents..
Rich is an amazing wealth of knowledge. Agree with him or not, he's honest with his critiques and has always come through for me with information needed. This type of art (Metal) has to much for any one person to KNOW IT ALL.
I think Rich Thinks before he answers the question. And I personally appreciate that.

I'm a Machinist by Trade, I've been one for twenty years and I still learn something new almost everyday.
I think it is unfair that anyone expects so much for so little. (From Rich that is)
After all he does this out of passion not because he has to!!!!!
No I am not a writter, so bear with me.
But I find the negative comments done without tact to be well, B.S.
I love Art and there are so many talented Artists on this site INCLUDING Rich. I just want the opportunity to share the enthusiasm with everyone else.
Isn't that what this all about.
I for one would like to see more participation on the site again. But I feel inappropriate comments are what turn people off to just about anything. Including the site.

I don't get all Butt Hurt when I send someone a thank you and they don't respond. Case and point Check out HARMONY on the recent images. I just wanted to let RICH know how much he helped me out. Nothing for personal gain.

We are all on a Journey in some way shape or form.
I would personally like to thank Rich for his help and his candor. As a mediator what more could you ask for. I think we are lucky to have such a person.

But we are all intitled to our opinions.
I don't agree with everyone all the time.
And NO I don't agree with Rich all the time.
But I'm here to Share..not Judge people.

I do want to let everyone know how much I appreciate Rich and all he does.
