Using Flock for Posting Blogs

Site Help - FAQ faq | help | testing So, I opened my big mouth and told folks about this great new browser called Flock. And now Dick Caverly has put me in my place and is wanting to know how to use the blogging features that are built into Flock. Well, if you do download the Flock browser, and intall it, you will need to go to your preferences and select "Blogging." There, you will click on the (+) symbol and enter http://www.artmetal.com. After hitting continue, a check is done to make sure the site is capable of blogging. Then you get another prompt to enter your username and password. Once you enter that, and the check is done, you are then linked to your blog at ArtMetal. Note the above is a one time setting to link to your artmetal blog. So the next thing to do is to select "My Blogs" from the upper left hand side menus and start blogging! One thing that bothers me a bit is that the categories that are brought in are all the tags that have been generated on the site. Neither the galleries or organic groups are listed. However, you do get the ability to add new tags and do some simple formatting along with a very nice spell checker. If you have a flickr account you can link to it using the web services tab in your preferences and then display the "Photo Browser" tab. Small square images will appear at the top of your window so you can select them and have them included into your blog post like this: Now isn't this cool? I don't think you can

I don't think you can edit/generate comments using the Flock blog editor. I believe it was meant only for creating new blogs and not for adding comments. Thanks for the "shout out" on the fireplace screen! QuiQue - creating the creators dream » reply |

Thank you QQ.
Thank you QQ. That was much easier than the track I was on. I don't see the "My Blogs" menu, probably because I only have the one. The spell checker is nice. I thought I would be able to use that editor to add comments, such as this one. Maybe I can and it's just not clear to me yet. I'll play with it. Thanks again.
Nice fireplace screen! Very cool.
