Paula, you should really be proud. Great article excellent pictures of your work. Just keep them rolling out. (oh I like clay better than play doh, I use it too in teaching how to move metal) www Metalrecipes-- heat and beat to the desired shape, repeat as necessary. warren » reply Congratulations!

That indeed was a great article! I checked your web site and after looking at your paintings, am impressed with your attention to detail. Egg tempera, as I understand it, consists of fresh egg mixed with pigment and applied with small brushes in small strokes. Perhaps your technique is different but I consider it a difficult medium. Fits in with metalwork. Keep it all up. marilyn » reply :) Thanks

Traditionally egg tempera is applied in that way, small brush strokes, but i've found that it can be used as a wash. It's transparent because of the egg yolk. So you're able to see all the colors, shading and even pencil drawings underneath.... I had tried doing the 'cross hatching' technique, but got bored with it really fast....Painting has taken a back seat, but i'm not giving it up...i've got a painting going that will probably be finished in a year...i get to it when i'm able....thanks for commenting on the paintings, very few people do....
