aluminum | large scale sculpture | steel | tree | welding I am going to create a large scale sculpture of a stylized tree (about 5-7 meters high) but have no experience of working with metal. The tree will be placed outdoors. Do you have some suggestions as to what the most ecologically friendly and robust material for this might be (aluminium, steel?), and then from there, how I should connect them together? Thanks a lot! ![]() Hi tree sculptor, Without

I would say around $2,000 (US dollar) out of pocket. For the steel, powder coat the leaves, the washer to hang them on, the cable and swags, the swage tool, diesel for the truck and lunch for the helpers. That does not include my labor. ![]() Another Tree

I have done trees too and a few more of us have been posted on ArtMetal. Search for trees and you will find quite a few of use have done trees. I guess you have to decide on how you want it and what tools you have to work with along with the skills to do it. www Metalrecipes -- heat and beat to the desired shape, repeat as necessary. ![]() tree
