Well- Gustav has managed to hurt a bunch of folks here in Louisiana but we survive. My home and shop are fine thankfully, although I still don't have power at home. Some folks to the south though are really hurting. Please keep your fingers crossed and the good vibes comin for all the good folks here. Oh- and tell Ike to go away.  keeping you all in our thought +prayers

I was wondering just yesterday if Gustav affected you much or not, and was going to drop you a note to ask. Your ears must have been burning. I'm glad to hear your ok, hopefully they'll get your power back soon. These storms seem to make it pretty tough for Southern Louisiana to get back on her feet. We'll keep our fingers crossed that Ike decides to quickly drop to large thunderstorm. Jake Balcom  glad to hear your ok matt

Thanks guys. i got power back last night and let me tell you that A/C never felt so good. I got off lucky that is for sure. The bad part is I was just getting used to sitting around doing nothing and now I gotta go back to work. |

We keep inviting those things out here. We know how to handle storms here in the desert.( we all stand out in the rain like a bunch of turkeys) But Texas keeps getting in the way.
