Gustav came and went

Well- Gustav has managed to hurt a bunch of folks here in Louisiana but we survive. My home and shop are fine thankfully, although I still don't have power at home. Some folks to the south though are really hurting. Please keep your fingers crossed and the good vibes comin for all the good folks here. Oh- and tell Ike to go away.

Calling Matt Canaday

A while back- Matt posted a helve hammer he made-very well I might add, but we have yet to see what he has been doin' with it. Where y'at Matt?

And the winner is?

Hey all-gotta question. I have been wanting to upgrade my anvil for quite some time and thought I'd ask you all for some feedback. I want something in the area of 300lb or better and I can find the anvils, but not the dirt on them. What you got and how do you like it?

the slow but steady progression

Hey y'all just wanted to shout from some place on high that the rail with all those acanthus leaves is going in starting this friday. I can't wait to see it all assembled and shiny. I'll post pics as soon as it done. BTW- for those who are interested, my website has been updated. It took a while , but I am very happy with it- now to put it to work. Oops, more stuff to learn. See ya'

repousse or attempt at it

repousserepoussehey y'all- here's a small gate I did the first part of the year.

acanthus apocalypse

Hey y'all here's about a third of the carpal tunnel exercise I've been working on.

Progress

Hey guys, I know a couple of you have tried to pull up my website and were met with nothing. It's been down for a couple of weeks , but I noticed this morning that it's back up sorta. It's mostly stuff up til about 18 months ago.

help!

I have a commission for a rail that involves 165 acanthus leaves! I really want to do them myself. I have seen Enrique's vid and have bought Nahum Hersom's book, but obviously I need a bit more speed in production.

Hello ,just signed up after a lengthy lurk. I just have never been that good around puters. I am a smith from Baton Rouge,LA. Mostly forged, fabbed residential stuff. Also very interested in repousse. I did quite a bit in college and am trying to bring it to the arsenal in my business. Looking forward to learning from y'all and seeing lots of cool stuff.
