Casting casting hi, my name is jay and i'm just getting into the hobby. These boards seem like a grat resource for all of my future endeavours, and i am soon going to be branching out from soapstone pewter casting to sand and possibly lost wax. Any suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated as well as any tips for soapstone (like a good place to buy supplies in the northeast). ![]() Welcom Jay

Jay,
Nice to have you aboard. As you move along in your work with metals, you will find that the folks here area very helpful with questions about process, equipment, sources of materials etc. I am on the very NW Coast (WA peninsula)so no idea of soap stone sources on the East Coast. I am sure you will hear from somebody, but if not or even if you do hears of sources, anther list you might put this question to is:
