Here is a pin that was in the Indiana State Fair this summer. It was one of those things that sits around looking at you and going "nah nah nah, it's not going to work with ME" I had thought that I could catch very fine copper mesh in a fold formed piece. I couldn't. Nor could I solder it together. Finally, I thought of using hollow rivets to hold the mesh on one side and making the pin to go all the way through crimped tight enough to hold the other side. That did it and here it is.
