Bite me
This sculpture was shown in Art in the Park in April 2007 in Sydney. It was a magnet for kids - they find painted metal very tactile ! This is a studio shot as its translucence did not photograph well outdoors. It is made of galvanised steel fencing wire and chicken wire, the snake is held together only with ties and wire bends, the apple is soldered. It is all painted with Sculpt Nouveau bronze and copper paints, and solvent dyes, coated with ClearGuard to make it weatherproof. It was a magnet for kids on the day, they all wanted to touch the snake !
