I just got a picture of the cover of my book! It won't be out for a few months yet. I was able to give thanks to all you guys in the acknowledgement section for the help you gave me about what you thought was most important to include. It's finally coming together! I'm also going to post here a flyer about my upcoming workshops in Portland, Oregon this Sept......just in case anyone's out in that neck of the US. I don't know if the size of these jpg's is correct, so we'll see........... .........it won't let me load the workshop flyer for some reason........I'll try it in a new post..... ![]() Congratulations!!!!

I know you've been working very hard on this book for quite some time. The cover looks very inviting and tells much about the content of the book. I'm sure you are going to be very pleased with the outcome. It's going to open up many doors for you Kimberli. Congratulations! ![]() love it!

Thanks everyone! I can't take credit for the cover.....that's up to the publishers art department, and the art department at Lark Books is pretty fantastic! Thanks for the comment about the chair.......you never know with scrap pieces what something will end up looking like.....I had some really fun pieces to work with when I did that. All those pieces on the cover are projects for people to make.....there's a total of 24. Some are scrap projects and some are using parts that are purchased at architectural supply houses (like King Architectural). I'm so excited for the book to be out and for more people to be able to experience the creative passion that can come from playing with metal! ![]() Congratulations!

Hi Kimberli, Congratulations on finishing the book. The cover looks great, it has a lot of appeal. I think it is so cool that you have a book being published. Just think, 20 some years from now some youngster will be sifting through his/her parents book shelf and stumble across this book possibly starting a journey to become a metal artist. Jake Balcom ![]() I love that! Although the

I love that! Although the youngster will have already learned from their parents who would have purchased the equipment I tell them about in the book, and who would have been blissfully playing with metal ever since the kid could say "I want my own welding helmet mommy and daddy". Of course for those who use the book as a coffee table centerpiece, your story works great! I do look forward to both kinds of folks buying the book........(!) ![]() Excellent

Kimberli,I recently came across a piece of your metal work and was thrilled to find it.I hadn't heard of you and fortunately there was a partial card attached with just enough information to find you. The piece is about 4 ft and looks like a worm with 6 holes init which I think is for wine bottles. Could you give me some feed back about this piece? My scanner isn't working so I can't send you a picture of it. I am a fellow artisan so any one in the field is a friend. hope to hear from you. carol c jarvis ccriderol@aol.com |
