Keep dust down with hand held plasma cutter?

It's been awhile since I've been on Artmetal! Nice to hang out here. Anyway................................I love my Hypertherm Powermax 30 however, I've been used to doing my cutting outside and now I have an indoor shop. Wow the dust gets everywhere just like everyone says. I have a good respirator and cut beneath a strong ventilation duct, however I still need something else.

O.K...........here's the flyer about my workshops this Sept.......if you know someone that might be interested and in the area please pass it on.......thanks!

My book cover!...and Workshops I'm teaching

I just got a picture of the cover of my book! It won't be out for a few months yet. I was able to give thanks to all you guys in the acknowledgement section for the help you gave me about what you thought was most important to include. It's finally coming together!

Railings I've started...

I'm part way through a new railing job. Wanted to show the progress....it's my first railing job of this kind. The blue ball is a 6" ball I bought from on online pet store to help keep me in compliance with the 6" rule.....(for curvilinear designs out here, the railing has to be filled in enough so that you can't pass a 6" ball through any part in the body).

Making use of my scrap pile.....

With the high price of scrap metal, I've given some thought as to what I can make and sell that makes use of my growing scrap pile. These scrap yard critters seem to be the perfect solution. They are approx. 2ft long. I will post better photos soon.

floor lamps just finished

I haven't posted any pics for awhile.......these are a couple floor lamps that I just finished.....not earth shattering however I ended up liking the lines and overall feel. The sun wasn't on them when I shot them so sorta hard to see.....the bases are pieces I found at a local scrap yard....bird floor lampsbird floor lamps

Help! Setting up metal welding shop....

Hello fellow metal heads!

I am planning on installing a metal welding shop on my property. I will be buying a 12 x 20 carport thing (don't have room for the 18wide) and having them put sides and ends on it......the whole thing with a window and door is $2,000.00.

Hobart 140 Mig Welder.....?

Hello Community,
I thought I'd give this a try befor I take my Hobart 140 Mig Welder to my local machine doctor (who, by the way, is so nice that I brought him a box of chocolates the last time I saw him, for fixing my plasma cutter for free!)...............it just won't get hot enough.

Give a little holiday gift to our Webminster

Hey everyone, just thought I'd send this out.......it being the holidays and all.............how about we all take a second and click on those 'Ads by Google' that appear on the right of the screen? QuiQue will be...........let's just say......suprised.........when he sees this, however, I know he gets paid every time someone clicks on them (I'm pretty sure), and he has put SO freakin' much time into this website............why the heck not? It's the HOLIDAYS.....and someone should get that money even if it's not me (or you, other than QuiQue).
