A Christmas gift for Mom. Its been a long time since I'd done any nature studys and having some time this year to make something I wanted to... I did. It is in the style of A. Mazzucotelli.

I also found time put a brake on my 50lb Mayer power hammer. I highly recomend it. With just the slightest bit of practice it deliveres single blows. I'm now looking forward to flat dies and trying out some hand tooling ~ tooling on handles that is.
