Repousse & Chasing I'm new to the site and new to repousse, a good deal of what I know about it is due to the good folks who carry own here. I thank you. I've got some work to do on copper @ .024 and pewter @.032 by 2' sq. Six pieces of it and I'm using oil based clay as pitch. I like how soft the plasticine is but when I use this stiching tool on it, it pulls to much metal down with it. When I use it backed up with lead it looks great, clean and crisp and well defined. I'm curiuus how hard pitch is compaired with lead. I've never layed hands on the stuff, I'm a blacksmith by profession. And I'm hopefull for any suggestions you've got to send me in the right direction. |
