Just got back from the Art Council meeting. It is offical. My first public piece in the mid 5 figure range. This all started back in April and finally got the vote tonight. Drinks are on me tonight! (and unless I sit down they will be) Got 18 months to get the work done and they will be helping with the install. Damm, glass is empty, I'll be back..... my experience!!

Do not mix red wine and vodka!! I do not know how the air shaper got to the house or who is using it right now...but I think someone is in need of either a hairy dog or a bucket. I will feel better in a little and get a photo of the model up for you all to see. got to go NOW » reply CONGRATULATIONS !

Congratulations, Kevin! I wish you the best of luck on getting it completed and installed in good time. Persistence does pay off, doesn't it? » reply Hi Rich; I had to sit here

Hi Rich; I had to sit here and think about this for a miniute or two. I am not sure if it was persistence or just letting go that got me thru this one. I was thinking before we went to the meeting that if they didn't vote on it or just decided not to do it that I would be ok anyway. It was nice to see the model at the meeting again. I had forgotten about it all together. Now I just have to wait for the paperwork to get here before I can start working. So more waiting...... getting good at it actually. » reply WOO HOO and Congrats Rick

Hi Peter; I have a whole stack of drawings and CAD plans that are in the "What am I going to make now" file. I try to spend a few hours a week in front of the computer designing/playing around just to give the fingers a rest and the mind a workout. I try to keep the file in order so everything gets to see the light of day but with this one it gets moved to the top. Course I just saw the contract (all 12 pages) and the note saying it will be a least another month before I get the final stamp of approval. I going to start anyway!!!! I also have a show coming up in October to get ready for, so it is going to get real busy in the studio next week. » reply |
