Here I am!

Well,
Here I am!

I've been standing in the background hiding my "talent" forever it seems. Not having the self esteem to let it out except to those that are close and I am confortable around. I've finally got that internal kick in the butt to show it, be proud of it, and let others enjoy what I enjoy creating.

I hope it goes well....

Jon-
Why have you been hiding this from all of us for so long? Not fair! Your work is great and we love seeing things this nice. The incorporation of the rocks is very clever and makes a nice effect. Please continue to post your work.

More info....

Thanks to all who are providing a neccessary boost!

The materials are mostly sheet steel; some stock sheet and some (leaves) are reclaimed sheet I picked up along my journies. The base rock is ground and the cattails themselves are rusted by me with a bleach/vinegar mixture in about 10 minutes, The leaves were rusted by time.

The rocks were my fathers idea, the piece was commishioned by him. He asked for "cattails with rocks in the stems"

Thanks again to all for the positive energy!

Welcome home. Tell us who you are and what you are about.
This piece is a great start. Enough ego massage, now it's your turn again.
