brass | copper | foldforming | handwrought | Ireland | metalsmithing | silversmithing | sterling silver | workshop Hi everyone, Just wanted to share what I got to do on my Spring Break (been taking classes at the College). I had the opportunity to go out to Ireland for 9 days, and spent 5 of those days with Brian at the Bregin Clarke Studio School of Metalsmithing! It was a great time! It was nice to see some of the friends I made there some years back. The Guinness was AMAZING too! Anyhow, I wanted to show a few of the projects Brian had me work on while I was there. I didn't take many photos this time around, but Brian captured one of all my projects together. He taught me some forging techniques, some foldforming, and twisting rod with control. These are pretty basic techniques that most of you already use, but techniques that I had not used before, and if I had the projects usually failed. I hope you enjoy! Here's his website if you're ever interested in what he's been doing...also has a workshop coming up in the South of France! http://www.silversmithingworkshop.com ![]() Nice to meet you too!

Cynthia, It was nice to meet you as well! We had a great time in Ireland. It's always nice to meet new people and to share our passions among one another. Brian has a great studio...just love to go there, and yes, he is an amazing teacher. Jamie Santellano |

Jamie's spring break with Brian Clarke
Hi Jamie,
Nice to see what you did! I enjoyed meeting you and having dinner with you and Brian and our commpanions. I have worked with Brian Clarke, too, and have had students study with him, as well. He really knows how to help each person grow---great teacher!
