What I did on Spring Break!

| | | | | | | |

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share what I got to do on my Spring Break (been taking classes at the College). I had the opportunity to go out to Ireland for 9 days, and spent 5 of those days with Brian at the Bregin Clarke Studio School of Metalsmithing! It was a great time! It was nice to see some of the friends I made there some years back. The Guinness was AMAZING too!

Business with Friends and Relatives...

In selling our work I think it's safe to say that most of us stat with the people closest to us, which usually includes friends and family. in saying that, I've had my fair share of ups and downs with that.

Gallery visit...

Well, were to begin...recently I went on a trip to go see my work in a Gallery. This was my first visit to the Gallery, and I took some new pieces of jewelry with me and also had a show while I was in town. I had encountered some interesting things on my visit, and would like some input on what you would do about what I'm about to share with you, but before I begin I have drawn my own conclusions and am sticking to my guns on this one...

Mystic Topaz RIng

Sorry this isn't quite metal related, but it will be once it's made...I was just wondering if anyone might know of a dealer that sells Mystic Topaz Gemstones. I have a customer that wants me to make her a ring with this stone, and she wants it to be the square (princess) cut. I haven't been able to find it. All the ones I've come across are the Emerald cut.
