Monique | sculpture | woman Have been busy on another project but last week I attended a regional MetalMeet at Dutch Comstock's shop in upstate NY and while there I spent considerable time working on Monique. Spent most of my time working on Monique's shoulders and back. LOTS and LOTS of shape! LOTS! The front shoulder above the breasts is one piece, the lower back is one piece below the waist and the upper back is two pieces split up the middle. Shoulder blades, muscle tone, vertabrae....SHAPE! Lots and LOTS of SHAPE! I did the flexible pattern for the head but didn't get any further. The face will be done with reposse' techniques as soon as I figure it out. I've got a pitch pot and some tools but I'm a rank amature to this type of shaping. ![]() I'm using .063 3003 H14. No

I'm using .063 3003 H14. No annealing has been required yet. With 3003, as long as you wheel or planish it occasionally, you can work it until it literally becomes foil. Otherwise it WILL crack. These panels were 75% stretch on the bag and wheel and 25% shrink on a Marchant style kick shrinker with Eckold dies. The wheel removes the shrinker stipple marks. » reply Metal

Thanks Guys, Fred, the metal is .063 3003 H14. I have not yet needed to anneal anything. With 3003 as long as it is wheeled or planished occasionally, you can work it down to foil thickness. Otherwise it will crack. These recent panels are 75% stretch on the bag and wheel and some shrinking on a Marchant style kick shrinker with Eckold dies. The wheel removes the shrinker stipple marks. Very Impressive
What metal is being used. Your proportions are superb. The face can be done much like you are doing the torso only with smaller tools. Keep us posted on your progress.
