mannequin | Monique I managed to get the face pretty much done. Made a female hammer form to rough out the shape. Shrunk a football shape to get started then hammered into the form to rough out.. Then hammered over the mannequin face for more detail before going to the pitch pot.. This was a test piece but even though I had to repair a couple blow outs, it came out good enough that I'm going on to other parts now. » read more | 8 comments Monique 4

Monique | sculpture | woman Have been busy on another project but last week I attended a regional MetalMeet at Dutch Comstock's shop in upstate NY and while there I spent considerable time working on Monique. Had to help my son yesterday so I didn't get to weld until this morning. I had some trouble getting decent welds...guess I forgot how in the past two weeks.

Monique has been whining that I never paid any attention to her so I took her up to the yearly Bugly distributor kickoff meeting and got to spend some quality time with her...

Several of my artist buddies encouraged me to post this over here since you have to be a member to see the saga on the MetalMeet site. Last year I got a new manniquin...I'm SOOOO tired of making bowls.  |
