church gates - linked in friendship

| | | |

This is the other gates for the church where the loaves and fishes gate is going .... the main story here is the determination of the people through the ages to work together to overcome the flooding sea, rampaging invaders and the insistent wind ..originally the links at the top simply overlapped but my wife,Jane suggested that they should interlink .... so two days of struggling later here they are ...big improvement ....

Drawing your points

This is a beautiful example of craft control in the smoothness of drawing all those points. That really takes both patience and perseverance!

Absolutely amazing! I had

Absolutely amazing! I had to keep going back over the pictures to see everything- the links, the flowers... This is just exquisite! I'm not surprised that there was a sermon written for them. Great work!

gates on their way to Germany

Here are the completed church gates for the people of Saxony ...the waves at the base are a testament to the fortitude of a community that has battled both with the sea and those that landed from it .... the wild rose shows that no matter how much we tame our surroundings ...nature has her way ...

This pic was taken minutes before everything was loaded in the container ... next stop Bremerhaven

....now to finish the castle gates .... see blogchurch gates complete: see blog

so that's what I've been trying to do

“The creative process, as far as we are able to follow it at all, consists in the unconscious activation of an archetypal image, and in elaborating and shaping this image into the finished work. By giving it shape, the artist translates it into the language of the present, and makes it possible for us to find our way back to the deepest springs of life.” - C. G. Jung
