I don't know if this is appropriate for posting of the forum, but thought I'd risk it. Last year, I was the resident artist at Touchstone's blacksmith studio. Part of my job was to help with getting the following year's instructors scheduled. So that's my interest in this.

Touchstone has posted its 2009 schedule. If you're thinking of taking any classes this year, with an instructor line-up that includes Mark Aspery*, Peter Ross, Tom Latane and Fred Crist, just to name a few, this might be the place. The Blacksmith shop is the best one I've ever seen. A few years ago, Touchstone was blessed with a very generous benefactor. With the money, Touchstone build a large timberframe studio. The forges are well made and a pleasure to use.
