Reliquary to the Moon

Here is an ambitious piece I made just over 30years ago. I am preparing for a talk I have been asked to do on my work and I have converted some of my slides to images.

Approximately 6" high, brass sheet and acrylic construction and bolted together the container with removable repoussed faces spins through the cut-out in the oval.

FULL PHASE

Oh Moon, I watch you as,
Your face looks down,
On my Indian summer,
You stare so pensively at your Mother Earth below.

Someday soon,
We'll climb your hills,
And inhabit your craters,
And you can smile on, knowingly.
So far away; remote, you seem as, You pass above our little lives.
Give us your blessing as you roll by.

Fred- This is great! Made

Fred-
This is great! Made me smile from ear to ear when I saw it, and even more so as I looked at your cleverness and creativity in detail. The cutout profiles in the brass are very clever. I would really like to see it move and watch the moon rotate through the cutouts. VERY clever and creative! Congratulations!
